Its Net Zero Catalyst is designed to translate climate objectives into actionable roadmaps. The system allows organizations to enter baseline emissions, reduction targets, project costs, savings, and carbon-reduction potential. It then calculates financial and carbon metrics, including marginal abatement cost, while allowing users to assess factors such as technical feasibility, health and safety, and biodiversity.

This creates an interesting contrast with Catalyst Zero.

McKinsey’s proposition is strongly connected to automated analysis and decision-making at scale. Arcadis brings more emphasis on the physical and technical realities of implementing decarbonization projects.

North America’s industrial base creates a wide range of decarbonization challenges. A financial institution may be focused on financed emissions and reporting.
